The last few months have been a very productive and exciting time for the Old Carey Grammarians Association. Recently, we held the inaugural OCGA Collective, which brought together:
On this night we also welcomed a diverse and dynamic group of new Council Members aboard the OCGA Council. We are so fortunate to have such an experienced, passionate and talented team leading our Association. Click here to learn more about our new Council Members. We have also recently witnessed the tremendous success of our Old Carey Women's Football team. The team faced a challenging start to season, but displayed immense courage, resilience, belief and teamwork which led to them making the Victorian Amateur Football Association's Grand Final. Whilst the Grand Final result was a narrow loss, the team is comprised of many 2022 graduates and even a few current Carey students, so the future for Old Carey Women's Football is very bright. Congratulations to all involved. If you’d be interested in joining our Women's Football Program next year, please email ocga@carey.com.au Throughout this year, many of you will have interacted with our outstanding new Alumni and Community Manager Kaushini Fernando. Kaushini joined Carey in January right as everything was ramping up for the School's Centenary. She was thrown right in the deep end and has played a vital role in the all the fantastic Centenary celebrations the Carey community has enjoyed this year. Despite having to deal with the busyness of the Carey Centenary and only having been in her role for just over eight months, Kaushini has achieved an extraordinary amount in her short tenure. She has:
Kaushini will be on parental leave until the commencement of Term 2 next year. Whilst she is on leave, her role will be capably covered by Natalie Jose. Animo et Fide, The OCGA Council |
