Amber's White Light
Thursday, 2 March 2023
The OCGA are proud to support Amber’s White Light (AWL) in the annual Run the Tan (RRT) on Sunday 30 April, 2023. An event where individuals run or walk around the Royal Botanic Gardens to raise funds and awareness for mental health causes.
Monty Wraith (Carey Year 11 student) is running to honour his sister Amber Wraith (2020). Many Carey and OCGA friends are supporting Monty by running and raising funds, including OCGA council members and current teacher Trevor Black.
We encourage the Carey alumni community to get behind this campaign; join the OCGA run team, raise funds or be there to cheer on Monty, Trevor and the OCGA team. There will be an OCGA marquee and sausage sizzle on the day where members can socialise and relax, before and after the event.
If you wish to support Amber’s White Light by participating in this event, please register here and join the OCGA team.

Amber’s White Light
AWL aims to achieve best practice in support and treatment for young people and their families by supporting research into complex mental illness and suicide prevention, for teenagers and young adults, especially young women.

Amber’s White Light (AWL) was created by Tamara and Richard Wraith after the untimely and unnecessary death of their daughter, Amber. Driven by the trauma of their own loss, Tamara, Richard and the Wraith family are passionate about decreasing stigma, improving diagnosis, treatment, support, care and hope for those impacted by mental illness.
