Stuart Hickman was Headmaster at Carey from 1948 until 1964. He was well respected and led Carey through an exceptional period of growth both in student numbers and with the acquisition and development of Bulleen. David Lord (1953) alum and former head of history and politics at Carey has published a memoir of Stuart Hickman's history and time at Carey.
