OCGA Young Alumni Night - February

Our recent OCGA Young Alumni night, held at Harlow in Richmond, was a tremendous success! With over 220 in attendance, it is one of the largest events the OCGA has held in a while, and it was fantastic to see such a large number of our connected community coming together for a great evening.  From 6:00 pm-7:00 pm, we had over 100 attendees from the Class of 2023, and this portion of the night served as a great opportunity to welcome them aboard as the newest members of the OCGA. Inspiring speeches were delivered by Charlie Connell-Tobin (2023 School Captain) and Jasmine Millar (OCGA Young Alumni Chair). Following these speeches, we presented this fantastic OCGA Welcome Video to inform the newest members of the OCGA of all the wonderful opportunities available to them through the OCGA.  After being inducted as an Honorary member of the Class of 2023 at their Year 12 Valedictory last year, the Class of 2023 were very excited to welcome Rev Gerry Riviere along to their first post-school event as a cohort. Rev shared some words of wisdom with the cohort and delivered a sincere and moving Grace.  Congratulations to Young Alumni Chair Jaz Millar and our incredible Young Alumni team: Clare Stambe (2018), Sasha Edney (2020), Charlie Connell-Tobin, Sienna Shepard, Sophie Kondogiannis, Josh Drake and Luka Best (2023) who all did a superb job planning and running this fantastic event.  The night was a great success and all our attendees partied the night away, having a wonderful time with Carey friends old and new. Our Young Alumni team are already planning their next initiatives, with a mid-year Trivia event and university-based "Coffee Catchup" events on their horizon! |
